About Lake Country Builders

Lake Country Builders started in 1976 and has been serving the twin cities area since. They also pride themselves in bringing lake homes back to life or building from scratch the lake home of your dreams. These lake homes, sometimes built within feet of the lakeshores all over the Twin Cities, Brainerd lakes area, and Western Wisconsin.

From their website:

“At Lake Country Builders, our people are our most prized resource. All of our management team carpenters and millwork craftsmen are on-staff, seasoned veterans who have demonstrated a commitment to both our company and our customers. When you choose us, you can trust that our team will be there as promised, and we’ll stay until the job is done. That’s the Lake Country way – ‘Handcrafting your Vision. Since 1976.'”

While their work started in the twin cities, Lake Country Builders was lured up north in 2002 to the greater lakes area.

The Team

The Lake Country Builder team is a strong family business that has been well developed by its owners. Currently Lake Country employes their own carpenters, some of which have been with them for 20 years. They value mentoring, training, and putting their employees first.

At Lake Country, it’s about building relationships, not just building homes.

Homes to Check Out

Lake Country has built some beautiful homes that are definitely worth looking at. These homes are beautiful examples of both their craftsmanship and reclaimed wood.

Custom Homes

If you take the time to look into the custom homes that Lake Country Builders have created, you’re sure to be amazed. The attention to detail both on the inside and the outside really makes their homes stand out. Many of their homes have a very modern feel, while others feel very much like a lake home. This includes reclaimed wood paneling on the ceilings, walls, and hardwood floors throughout some of their homes.

This builder is an excellent example of reclaimed wood being used.

You’ll also notice the use of stone and tile in many of their homes. From the bathrooms to the kitchens, the stone and tile work throughout is beautiful and very well done.

Be sure to check out the stonework in the bathrooms they’ve built. You’ll also notice that the base of some bathtubs are wood. This gives a beautiful contrast.

Cabins and Lake Homes

The cabins and lake homes built by Lake Country Builders offer up some great ideas and features. Each of these homes is truly beautiful, and you can really tell that they put their heart into these projects.

The first thing you’ll notice when looking at these homes is the architecture and the way that the exposed wood is highlighted throughout the home. It’s by far one of our favorite parts of the lake homes that they’ve built.

As you step inside the homes, you’ll begin to realize the wood that’s used throughout. From the kitchen to the ceilings, there is exposed wood all over, and it creates a very welcoming North Woods feeling. Take notice of the exposed wood in the kitchen pictures.

Be sure to look at the Brainerd area lake home and how it takes advantage of beautiful exposed wood beams. These beams stretch the whole span of the ceiling and are sure to draw your attention as you step into the room.

It’s hard not to fall in love with some of the wood accents offered throughout the different homes that Lake Country Builders have made. Having wood accents in a lake home really does give off that great cabin feeling that we all love, especially here in the midwest.

Choosing Reclaimed Wood

If you’re looking to build a home or start a remodeling project and you like the idea of exposed wood, then we’d encourage you to look into reclaimed wood. It’s a great and very sustainable option for any construction project.
