Our Weathered Antique Timbers come from barns built in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. With the advent of giant circle saws, farmers were able to save hours of back-breaking adzing by hooking up their saw to their tractor and sawing the logs into timbers. This method produced timbers with unique sawn faces. Time allowed them to develop a lovely brown/gray patina with great texture.
